How to Flash an Ati Gfx Card for the Apple Mac Pro

**VIEW IN HD** Warning – attempt this at your own risk! it may have worked for me but it might not for you – view the link below and ask the guys on the forum if you have any questions. forums.macrumors.com When you go to the Flash tab in Ati Flashing Tool, you need to select the ROM file for your card then click run. When you do that it will flash your card. All you gotta do then is restart, install QE and you’re good to go! You may get a warning saying that the power connector isnt plugged in or something, but thats apparently a message nearly everyone gets after doing this – make sure they are plugged in and ignore the warning. I wanted to leave posting this vid until a few weeks of use, just to make sure it works properly without any hiccups. And it does. Perfectly! In window it can play games at the highest res/settings without any noticeable slowdown. An excellent card and WELL worth upgrading to if you have an older card or even the Nvidia 120GT that ships with the new Nehelam mac pros. Breakdown of costs: Apple 4870 512MB = £280 Sapphire 4890 1GB= £123 2x 6pin-6pin cables = £15 Total price for me was £138. Saving over the Apple upgrade is £142 or 7 Good luck and subscribe!
