@simracingtonight hi darin and shaun. how do you compare between dbox 120 and those scn5 actuator simulator?? which do you think more life like??? please reply me thank you

If only this guys from iRacing were using Phyre/EGO, CryEngine3, Chrome Engine 4, or either Unreal Engine 3….The graphic capabilities would be really far beyond that..
But I’m not a physics expert, so maybe this engine they are using is more precise and effective to work with their physics engine…I don’t really know, albeit OpenCL and Havok are an amazing duo for realistic physics simulation.
Amazing video, guys; very technical and fun!

yes it suxx more (going to the ferrari factory irl)
I’d rather go seeing how milk is made in china !

Darin and Shaun, you didnt mention that iRacing is actually a continous “beta” which probably never will be “ready” like Forza or Gran Turismo as its evolving continuously.
Its good that you did this review again, but just remember to do it again in a year or so..

@DrDenisSaralho LOL, have you even played iRacing???
July 29th, 2010 @ 3:47 pm
At 46:24, You can’t seriously compare going to an actual track in real life with a car or a bike as something that can be substituted with a computer.
Yes, going to the track is more expensive but its the same difference in going to the Ferrari factory in real life vs watching a video of it.

“The amount of patches being released is a proof to that. We’ll see how it goes in the near future though.”
@hristoitchov
Gonna have to disagree with that because that statement is flawed. The plan iRacing have is build and update the sim for a 10 year period, there will not be a final version any time soon because of the constant updates. Your basing your comment on traditional games/sims where you buy a boxed version and then buy a new/updated version another year or so later.

We have a copy and will be reviewing it soon. Thanks ,

F1 championship edition on ps3 should be on your rating scale.. best sim on ps3 get a hold of a copy you’ll be amazed
July 29th, 2010 @ 5:10 pm
F1 Championship edition ps3 needs to go in your rating scale as i believe if you play it you will agree graphics physics tracks all round great sim for f1 fans.. A must for your weighted rating scale.. Better than some of your pc game out there..Thanks

Do yourself a favour and drop the dreadful rock music in the background during certain items, like through an interview with Dave K, come on fella’s, It’s so unprofessional for what is otherwise a terrific show which I always enjoy watching…

+1 internetz for you

Realism might be their long-term objective, but it’s undeniable that the focus in the past 2 years was put on profit and commercialism. Players, despite paying such high subscription fees for content and access, are literally the guinea pigs for what still seems to be a sim in beta testing. The amount of patches being released is a proof to that. We’ll see how it goes in the near future though.

iRacing cost should be rated 0/5
nothing justify the COST of this game…
