    is any of the 2 aver media or black magic cap cards compatible for mac?

    @2mustange

    You could try doing this, but since Blackmagic does NOT recommend doing this, it probably won’t work. Most likely NOT at capturing uncompressed and possibly NOT even compressed. Seems likes a hefty investment in something that’s NOT recommended.

    @MrBoomStein

    Supposively shipping to resellers and will be available at early July but maybe even the last week of June. Given that the more expensive Ultrascope Pro from Blackmagic is now shipping at resellers, the Shuttle cannot be too far behind.

    @2mustange

    It’s NOT recommended by Blackmagic because of the limited bandwidth in such devices. You are really going to want to have a USB 3.0 port on the laptop already. They specifically list the ENVY series by HP as the currently only recommended laptops and that they are looking at others.

    The USB 3.0 PCIe cards can work when they are in a PCIe version 2.0 slot on a mobo that has the necessary bandwidth.

    @playinghalotoday sorry. Will using a USB 3.0 Express Card adapter still work for the intensity shuttle? It still capable of transfering data…

    Being specific is generally a good idea when asking a question.

    @playinghalotoday Still? damn….well with it still work? or will it not even transfer the video at all?

    UPDATE: Blackmagic-Design has stated that PCI-e cards can be used in a Windows desktop provided they are put in a PCI-e version 2.0 slot.

    Conversely, they have stayed that USB 3.0 Expresscard adapter do NOT have enough bandwidth to work with the Intensity Shuttle.

    Is the Intensity Shuttle out yet?

    Little more info on the shuttle, apparently the BMI reps are telling me the minimum requirements for a shuttle require a mobo with an x58 chipset and an i7.

    @Ronin6330

    It’s a forgone conclusion when ONLY Windows drivers are listed, that MAC drivers are NOT availalbe.

    BOOTcamp is your friend.
