SlateDroid Review – Eken M001/Haleron iLet Mini HD

An HD video review of the increasingly popular Eken M001. Specs: -800mHz Processor -128mb Ram -7″ TFT Resistive touch panel -Resolution = 800×480 -2gb Internal Storage -SD Card slot (up to 32gb) – Comes with: -MSN -Documents to go (Full Version – Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint) -Music Player -Video Player -Ebook Reader -Photo browser -Facebook -Youtube -Web Browser The screen is very responsive, I was expecting it to be the standard unresponsive, hard to press touch screen we’re I’m used to from previous china electronics but I found this was quite the opposite. The overall design is good and the hardware buttons feel very sturdy, they give quite a firm click when you press them. I would recommend getting a screen protector if you buy one of these devices as the screen felt very soft under my nail. I have an iPad screen protector on mine that I cut down to fit. It does come with a screen protector but it’s pretty useless as it has bubbles which cannot be pushed out and is too big for the screen. The battery lasted about 4 hours for me, despite the manual suggesting it only has 2 hours of battery life, I think this was because I had the brightness turned right down and had all sounds turned off, however I did have the WiFi running. You can see in the video that the screen isn’t dark even with the brightness turned down. The photos load EXTREMELY quickly, infact they load quicker than my Samsung Galaxy Portal (i5700) and my Mum’s Iphone, this is a major plus for me. For …

you can’t really see youtube videos with this, i dont know why when you can watch videos from the youku really fine. I dont know why but it doesnt support youtube.

vids clearly been sped up. i’ve had thsi tablet for about a month and its a slow piece of shit.
even with the 1.6 upgrade. best bet is to wait a while before getting one. only good thing is having one of these in the toilet for when to take a dump

@MorganKFleming none of the eken m001 run that fast. the main chip in it is specefied to run at 300 MHz according to the datasheet. The ram runs faster, so many people use that speed for the spec.

No not really, before i bought my macbook pro i tried wining it on almost every website there is, but if yu do the math all the time and energy you’d be spending to win it on those sits yu could easily buy it.

yeh true but mac has great hardware so when yu get windows on it itll b great, yeah i am going to do a tutorial as well but i need to buy a hard drive to back up all my files, im probably getting it in a few days; my book 1 TB , ill do a unboxing and then the tutorial.

I’ve already ordered mine, am expecting it this week:) its always better to buy in your locol shop because of the garantie. i once bought a white ps3. the ps3 got broken within the year, and I could’t find that person back on ebay.
i can’t wait for the video cause like you sayed mac has no games. that’s a major drawback. are you also doing the tutorial?? on how to get windows for mac

the 2.8 wich you have cost’s 3419.87 USD here. and i payed mine the 2.66GHz 2700 dollar. wich is more than the 2.8 in America, you guys are so lucky.

yeh if yu run windows then yu can run window games, and everything yu wanna do on windows yu can do on the mac, its really good im going to do a full review soon, 2700 $ is a lot i got mine for 2400

you can download LOADS of games from the apple website, got downloads there and theres loads of apps.

Yeah i understand what you mean, and yes the cards are pretty easy to switch 3 clicks thats it, Yes i am going to install windows soon, i really am enjoying the mac but i am so used to windows i like the option to have both in one, i do believe it is worth it, its very fast very easy to use and installing things or doing anything is nicely done, there r step-by-steps for almost everything.

well i havent tested out any games yet but, when i use the 9600 to do video editing and encoding there is a noticeable difference. But they are both very good cards.
