Your comparisons used to validate your view on why you can like both Boxing and MMA is a bit flawed. Comparing Football and Basketball in this case doesn’t apply. MMA and Boxing would be more like comparing the actual game of Football to a field goal kicking competition or Basketball to a 3-point shooting contest. Basically what I am saying is Boxing is a facet of MMA, Football isn’t a facet of Basketball. This said, I still agree with you when you say people can appreciate both Boxing and MMA!

I couldn’t agree more the fights have been absolute garbage. kimbo vs nelson was one of the worst fights I’ve ever seen.

DREAM.11 was another fantastic show. No review vid, d00de?
July 19th, 2010 @ 10:07 pm
Damn.
That sucks!
It’s hard even for me to watch DREAM. Anyone who isn’t there live, has to watch tape delay, which sucks and the only channel that carries it, isn’t available where I’m at. So, I have to watch online, on streams.
It was a great show, though.

Hehe, I too am a bit tired of the show, but still think that Kimbo is somehow interesting.
Why bring in so many freakshows (former football players, wow impressive!. They should make a world edition and bring in some real talent, from Russia, Brazil etc.
I´m from Sweden and have no clue on how to watch DREAM11 live. I will download it short after though.
Another downside to living in Sweden is that it isn´t posible to get “UFC on Demand” – even if I would pay double. Sux!

Any predictions for DREAM11 soon Karsten??
July 19th, 2010 @ 11:37 pm
Thanks.
I would do something on TUF, but that show SUCKS!
lol
I waited sooooo long for Kimbo on TUF… lol. And the whole season looks like it’s gonna be gassin’, lay n’ pray and Kimbo.
Damn!
I am getting up at 3AM to watch DREAM11 though!

Hey doliveij!
I wish you made more videos. There is far too little quality mma material out there, atleast that I am aware of.
Will you be making any TUF reviews? I would also be interested in hearing your thoughs on adding a new weight-clas in the heavy division.

yea Kimbo cant beat ne body now BUT if he continues to work on becoming more well rounded he will start winning more and start putting on more exciting performances if u took notice he nearly knocked roy out which is the reason roy took him down in the second rnd y do ppl act like they didnt kno Kimbo had a horrible ground game!?!?!

Interesting. Even though Fedor never fought in the UFC, he’s fought a lot of top 10 opponents over the years, as you know. Perhaps number of wins vs top 10 competition would be a good measuring stick?
I’m not a boxing fan so I’m not qualified to make a judgment. Probably you’re right, but +1 to Fedor for being humble!
In the end though, they’re different sports so I guess it’s an unfair comparison.
July 20th, 2010 @ 1:25 am
agree with your your #2 though.
July 20th, 2010 @ 1:37 am
The point is that he couldn’t defend himself at all, it doesn’t matter if they had KO power behind them or not.
He was helplessly pinned to the mat taking shots.
Referee Stoppage: the referee may stop a match in progress if:
“a fighter becomes dominant to the point where the opponent is unable to intelligently defend himself from attacks, which may occur as quickly as a few seconds;”
says nothing about the strikes must have KO power.. the fact is he was getting hit, and not defending himself

Mayweather is unbeated in 40 fights since 1996.
Fedor has 1 BS loss since 2000.
But Mayweather has been to the big show in boxing whereas people are still questioning Fedor’s legacy due to never fighting in the UFC.
If Fedor where to fight in the UFC and win, it would be a lot closer. But as it stands, Mayweather wins that battle.
Also, Mayweather is a 25 Million a fight guy in a sport that is hurting. He is bigger than boxing. Fedor is my fav, but in MMA many “fans” don’t know who he is.

1, Those punches really were pathetic. I know you can’t let a guy get punched for 3 mins straight, but in a fight with no ref, Kimbo coulda took those baby shots for an hour without even getting a headache.
2. With that said, Kimbo’s stand up is too poor, and his ground game is so terrible that I don’t think anyone in the HW Division would lose to him. He is too afraid of a takedown to commit to his punches and a true striker would KO him.
I give him respect for working at it, but that’s it.
July 20th, 2010 @ 3:18 am
fucking put in the same position 2x. was hit consecutively non stop for the last 30 seconds of the 1st round – against with consecutive shots in the 2nd round.. until they FINALLY stopped it after team rashad was literally counting out the shots.
i wonder how much they payed off herb dean to give kimbo Soooooo much time to recover..
in any PPV event that would have been stopped in a 1/4 of the time..
and dana white has the nerve to say kimbo will be on a paid card… what a joke
July 20th, 2010 @ 3:26 am
even worse, dana makes fun of roy after he completely dominated kimbo for 2 rounds..
god, dana white is such a fucking scumbag. after all the shit he talked about kimbo when he was fighting for elite xc and how they were putting on freak shows… and after he gets manhandled by roy he talks about how he has a chance in the future..
against WHO? who would kimbo beat in the HW division??? no one.
July 20th, 2010 @ 3:30 am
wow, just finished watching the 1st round with kimbo… what a load of bs.
I lost Count of how many unanswered shots he was taking to the head while roy had him in side control.. doesn’t matter how hard they were..
he was completely unable to defend himself and they let that go on for longer than 20-30sec??
what a complete farce.
July 20th, 2010 @ 3:59 am
Lol,at KOS calling out Hughes.I guess KOS has something against the elderly .Who is after Hughes…Royce?.
July 20th, 2010 @ 4:06 am
ok thats right its not very pleasant to see a couple of guys breaking their bones on the ring, instead is much better to watch some real good techniques I mean PRO techniues plus of course also watch what the fighters got/feel inside. Not necesarly a roman circuss but a high level fighting show.
Also a circuit which allow the fighter to progress to expand to other stuff etc
July 20th, 2010 @ 4:32 am
I like pepperoni and pig skins!
July 20th, 2010 @ 4:34 am

July 20th, 2010 @ 6:10 am
